The Hermitage Branch library opened on August 26th of 2000 as a part of a grouping of community center, playground, and police station. This library's design, by Moody/Nolan Ltd. Inc. Architects, reflects the pastoral setting of the family farm on which the building sits, and features a landmark translucent tower that shines a "beacon of light."
