International Storytelling Center

The International Storytelling Center—to further infuse storytelling into the mainstream of our society—is building on our 34-year history to promote the power of storytelling and its creative applications to build a better world.

The Center complex, located in historic Jonesborough, Tennessee, is the only facility anywhere in the world devoted exclusively to the power of storytelling and its creative applications. The Center includes a 200-year-old country inn, a new 14,000-square-foot education building, and a surrounding three-acre park and offers the following amenities:
*A welcome and information area for visitors,
*A retail shop of storytelling books, recordings, and gifts,
*Exhibits about storytelling and the center's work,
*Live daily storytelling from May through October.
