Belmont University - Black Box Theatre in Troutt Theatre Complex

The Black Box Theatre is a 150 seat experimental performance and classroom venue located on Compton Avenue behind the new Troutt Theater. This venue is the second stage for the Department of Theatre and Dance and a classroom facility for all movement based performance courses. The Black Box is a flexible performance space with moveable seating risers and is equipped with state-of-the-art lighting and audio equipment. The Black Box is the home for The Actors Bridge Ensemble.

      Creativity Moves Nashville: Young Adult Cancer Survivors Program Belmont University - Black Box Theatre in Troutt Theatre Complex Creativity Moves Nashville: Young Adult Cancer Survivors Program Presented by Playing By Air Productions at Belmont University - Black Box Theatre in Troutt Theatre Complex May 27, 2012 Creativity Moves Nashville will bring together young adult cancer survivors, family, friends, and caregivers for an afternoon of inspiration, joy, and bonding. Sunday’s free program for young adult cancer survivors and supporters will feature live entertainment from Playing By Air, inspiring cancer survivor speakers, and an interactive songwriting program led by Grammy and Emmy nominated, CMA & ACM award winning songwriter Billy Kirsch.

Based in Sweden, Jay Gilligan and Wes Peden play an American tour once per year. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald through the jazz age and into infamy. Funded by a Metropolitan Nashville Arts Commission Creation Grant, this new work examines the volatile passion, deep commitment and remarkable work of this iconic pair and their closest confidants.
