Centennial Park Bandshell

Through June, family films are shown at Wednesday night’s "Movies in the Park." The show starts at dark, but you’re welcome to pack a picnic and come early. (There’ll be food vendors there.) There are benches to sit on, but most folks bring a chair or blanket.

The Nashville Symphony performs in the shell as well; see www.nashvillesymphony.org for a full schedule). Nashville has a world-class (and Grammy winning!) symphony, and a chance to see them perform free is a real gift.

"Shakespeare in the Park" performances are scheduled from mid-August to mid-September, Thursdays through Sundays. www.nashvilleshakes.org will tell you a little about Nashville’s Shakespeare Festval and the people behind the scenes. - Nashville landmarks | Examiner.com
