gallery F. @ Scarritt Bennett serves as a showcase for emerging and established contemporary and "outsider" artists, which includes untrained artists and those with mental disabilities. Because the gallery is supported by the non-profit Scarritt-Bennett Center, its independence from commercial constraints allows it to give artists a unique opportunity to explore experimental approaches to art. This kind of freedom allows thought-provoking subject matter and the use of highly contemporary techniques and materials. The exhibitions thus have an inherently educational character, which supports the mission of Scarritt-Bennett Center.

      Mature Eyes Exhibit gallery F @ Scarritt-Bennett Mature Eyes Exhibit Presented by gallery F at Scarritt-Bennett Center at gallery F @ Scarritt-Bennett April 1-June 15, 2012 Some see retirement and growing older as an ending, while others see it as an opportunity for new beginnings. This exhibit features 7 photographers who have chosen to create opportunities for new beginnings. Through the mature eyes of these photographers, the viewer can gain a new understanding of the relationship between seeing, image and the creative spirit at work.
