Grand Ole Opry House

What began as a simple radio broadcast in 1925 is today a live-entertainment phenomenon. Dedicated to honoring country music's rich history and dynamic present, the Grand Ole Opry showcases a mix of country legends and contemporary chart-toppers who have followed in their footsteps. The Opry, an American icon and Nashville's #1 attraction, is world-famous for creating one-of-a-kind entertainment experiences for audiences of all ages. It's been called the "home of American music" and country's most famous stage." Every year, hundreds of thousands of people make pilgrimages across town or around the world to the Opry Complex to see the show live. 	Tell-a-friend Vanderbilt University - Vanderbilt Stadium Vanderbilt Stadium, an intimate 39,790-seat facility located in the heart of campus, has been the Commodores home since 1981. The Commodores began playing home games at the current location in 1922. Dudley Field, as it was named, was the first stadium in the South to be erected exclusively for college football. After a $10.1 million construction project in 1981, Vanderbilt Stadium, was dedicated in September as Vanderbilt posted a comeback victory, beating heavily Maryland, 23-17. 	Tell-a-friend Vanderbilt University - Langford Auditorium Langford Auditorium, Vanderbilt University Medical Center's largest indoor event space. Located next to Light Hall on the Medical Center campus, Langford was designed and constructed in 1976 as a 1,200-seat lecture hall. Since that time it has also been used for dance, theater and music productions.
