Let Freedom Sing
Enjoy the “Must-See” fireworks displays this Independence Day with a free concert featuring Martina McBride, Mikky Ekko, and more! This Fourth of July celebration has been named one of the most “insane festivals in July around the world” by Huffington Post, and one of the top 6 fireworks shows by the International Business Times.
Listen to some great music, check out the summer exhibitions, and get your photo taken at the NowPlayingNashville.com photo booth! Frist Fridays are sure to be a good time, this summer’s lineup featuring Al (Piper) Green & The Hard Times, The Long Players, and Those Darlins.
These free outdoor concerts occur every Saturday in May, June, September, and October in Centennial Park. Bring a blanket and spend a Saturday in Centennial Park enjoying these free outdoor concerts. Full Moon Pickin’ Party
Drink some beer under the moonlight while listening to some of Middle Tennessee’s best bluegrass music. Headlining acts perform on the main stage while “pickers” jam around the grounds. Bonnaroo may not take place in Nashville, but the four day, multi-stage camping festival is just a little over 60 miles down the road. Running June 11-14, this year’s impressive line-up features Billy Joel, Mumford and Sons, Kendrick Lamar, deadmau5, Florence and the Machine, My Morning Jacket and so much more!
Cheekwood Botanical Garden & Museum of Art
Check out some impressive art in a gorgeous setting with the Jaume Plensa: Human Landscape, a major exhibition of large-scale sculptures. On select nights, enjoy a unique dining experience with Spanish Wine & Tapas or listen to some Spanish-themed music on Spanish Nights.
Live On The Green
Lightning 100’s Music Festival gets bigger and better every year! Located at Public Square Park, enjoy great live music, food trucks, and more! This year’s Live On The Green runs every Thursday August 20-September 3, then ends with a 3 day festival September 10-12. Stay tuned as the 2015 Lineup will be announced in June.
Take a trip to the zoo with a bonus Zoovie night for the family. Bring blankets, chairs, and enjoy a specially selected animal or nature themed movie. These occur once a month from through October.
