Jim Wallace is an illustrator, painter, t-shirt designer. His work deals with space, cartoons, comedy, nostalgia and literature. It’s about being extra dimensional, showing an introverted view, the universe, building and destroying.
Wallace is influenced by his favorite cartoons, including “Ren & Stimpy,” “the Simpsons,” “Adventure Time,” and “Looney Tunes,” by the New York City graffiti artists he grew up admiring, including Dondi, Cope2, Doze Green, Ewok, Jick, Revok and by greats in other artistic realms, such as Gonzo artist Ralph Steadman, Comedian Bill Hicks and Frank Zappa, among others. Without a doubt, however, his number one influence and inspiration are his kids, Parker and Maeve.
In 2014, he lives and creates out of his garage studio in Nashville, TN where he continues on his journey into the unknown.
