Carol Ponder and Robert Kiefer Kiefer

Carol Ponder is an actress with over 50 years of on-stage experience and is an award-winning singer of Americana with a specialty in a cappella balladry. She also plays guitar, autoharp, and spoons. Carol has performed and taught at The Kennedy Center; The Tennessee Performing Arts Center; and scores of arts centers, theaters, PreK-12 schools, colleges/universities, and clubs in the United States and Northern Ireland. Since 1987, she has worked as an award-winning teaching artist, consultant, and author in education through the arts and arts integration.

Robert Kiefer is a theater director and actor with specialties in directing one-person shows and developing new works from page to stage. His work has been seen at the Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston, in colleges and universities, and in arts centers around the country. Harriet Beecher Stowe: A Literary Soldier was performed at Bowdoin College as part of the celebration of Harriet’s 200th birthday and is still touring. He has directed everything from Shakespeare to musicals. Robert also directs and produces Carol’s music, concerts, and recordings.
