juliana ericson

Juliana Ericson is from New York and has been a Nashville native for the past 35 years. Her Scandinavian heritage, world travels, myriad creative interests, intense spiritual life and active lifestyle all contribute to her expressive, vibrant paintings. She especially likes her work to be a joyous, interactive gift to the observer. “Joy. That’s the purpose of my art – for me to enjoy painting and for the observer experience that joy.” In addition to paintings, she also paints murals and teaches art workshops. Ms. Ericson has had several one-person shows in Nashville including Cheekwood, the Tennessee Art Center, Mad Platter, and the Hendersonville Arts Council. She has also participated in showings in Nashville Municipal airport, Tennessee Art Center, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and St. Thomas Hospital’s Institute for the Healing Arts. Her fundraising efforts, with donations to auctions & shows include: Artclectic, Central South Show, Nashville Opera, TN Environmental Council, Ensworth School, International Justice Mission, Bethlehem Center, W.O.Smith School and High Hopes. She contributed a painting to the new Metro Family & Domestic Violence Shelter. She has also taught free art classes to inner city children. Ericson’s work is owned by corporate and private collectors in the US and Europe, including Gibson Guitar’s corporate offices, Senator Cooper and TN State Supreme Court Chief Justice Clark’s offices.
