Kateri Pomeroy is from Denver, CO and has been in the Poverty & the Arts Artist Collective for 2 years. She has been homeless for about 4 years since moving to Nashville. She has been making art since she was 5 years old. She remembers sitting on the floor with her mother and coloring in coloring books. Her favorite mediums are dry & oil pastel and acrylic. Kateri is a returning artist from the Poverty & the Arts 2014 inaugural program. Her goal this year is to create beautiful art for the public to ponder, enjoy, and share with others. Her favorite thing about Nashville is the art community. Kateri is interested in taking voice lessons and expanding her musical side.
