Lisa Schmidt

I am currently starting my third year with Dance Theatre of Tennessee. My favorite ballets done with DTT have been Carmen, Nuts, Paquita, Fado De Amour, and Valse Fantasie. I began training at the age of six at the Central Wisconsin School of Ballet under the direction of Waltraud Karkar. My most notable roles with CWSB were Clara and Snow Queen in The Nutcracker, the Lilac Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty, and soloist in the Germany tour in 2004. From 2007-2009, I attended the Conservatory/Trainee program at North Carolina Dance Theatre. Working under the direction of Patricia McBride, danced in numerous performances choreographed by Mark Diamond, and was the lead dancer in Pax choreographed by Madeline Geurdat. In 2009, joined Montgomery Ballet as an apprentice, and in 2010, joined Dance Theatre of Tennessee.
