Llewellyn St. Aubyn Adrian Peter is a native of Trinidad and Tobago. He immigrated to Rochester New York at the age of nineteen to further his musical studies. He holds a piano pedagogy certificate from the International Piano Foundation in New York City. Llewellyn Peter received his undergraduate degree in piano from Roberts Wesleyan College and his M.S. Ed degree in piano and music education from Nazareth College in Rochester, New York. Llewellyn Peter has studied with Catherine Williams, Dr. Michael Landrum, Steven Mathis, Dr. Beverly Smoker and Carol Stone-Gafford The passion of performing and music ministry has allowed Llewellyn Peter to tour the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, and abroad. Among his performances was a concert given at the Armed Forces Base in Ramstein Germany and in the United States a private performance for entertainment mogul Oprah Winfrey was given in December 2004.In addition to performing, Llewellyn Peter is a committed music educator. He has taught in the Rochester City School District in New York, Fisk University, and is currently the Visual and Performing Arts Content Chair at Pearl-Cohn Entertainment Magnet High School in Nashville, Tennessee His awards and honors for excellence in teaching music include Who’s Who Among American Teachers, the National Conference of Community and Justice Middle School Educator of the Year, the Chancellor’s List and a Sallie Mae Award nominee.
