Reeves Gabrels is an innovative guitarist who also sings, writes songs and composes soundscapes. He joined The Cure, a distinctive and successful post-punk rock band, in 2012 (he’s still a member) and is known as well for his close partnership with David Bowie from 1987 through 1999. A stellar musician, Gabrels likes to keep his feet on the ground by playing small venues for home-town audiences when he has time. Reeves Gabrels & His Imaginary Friends is his own, Nashville-based power trio. Reeves plays guitar, sings, and leads the band, with Kevin Hornback on bass and Marc Pisapia on drums and harmony vocals. Performances include smartly-crafted original songs, covers that surprise as well as delight, and fearless improvisation. Catch Reeves Gabrels & His Imaginary Friends live when you can – and experience music that combines the visceral energy of rock, the harmonic sophistication of jazz, and the emotional honesty of blues.
