Big Daddy, The fearless leader through the night, and the inspiration behind Daddy’s Dogs, Sean Porter, is more commonly known around the world as Big Daddy. Acquiring his name in his many years on the road, touring with bands such as Cage the Elephant, Mat Kearney, Elle King, and Kris Allen, among many others, he has never failed to live up to his fun-loving reputation. Then, combining his love for cooking and unstoppable ability to have a good time, Daddy’s Dogs was born. Since then, Daddy’s Dogs have gone on to become the fastest growing restaurant in Nashville winning Best Hot dog in Nashville (2019, 2020, 2021), Best Place for a Romantic Dinner (2021), Best Late-Night Eats (2020, 2021), and Best Drinking/Smoking Innovation (Writer’s Choice 2021). They are the “Late Nite Kings” of Nashville with carts throughout the city, and permanent locations in Printer’s Alley, Ole Smoky Distillery, and their flag-ship hotdog stand in the Nations. Daddy’s Dogs have proven to not only be here for a good time, but they will be here for a long time showing you that “SIZE DOES MATTER” in the hotdog world. As far as Big Daddy goes, look for him on the street: when he’s not slinging hot dogs or traveling the world, you will find Sean on his trusty scooter. He is a vest-wearing member of the Seattle-based scooter club, Soldiers of Destiny, and is always planning his next scoot across America. And though his passions seem random, there are a few constants: quality and personality. Everything Sean does will be awesome, and he will have a damn good time doing it.
