Henley, the self-described New American brasserie open since June 2017 just off the lobby of Midtown’s Kimpton Aertson Hotel, is rejiggering its kitchen since the departure six months later of opening chef RJ Cooper, the opening chef and former James Beard Award winner. Under his watch, the Henley offered artful, ambitious fare, with sharable plates and a space that may be more suitable for groups and lively conversation than for a quiet dinner date for two.
