Locally owned Las Palmas, a collection of by-the-basics Mexican restaurants, began in 1990 on Charlotte Pike and since has grown to several Nashville-area locations. There’s no denying their popularity: Crowds pack the places during prime-time lunch and dinner hours at most sites.
