Once Upon a Time in France, a 45-seat French bistro, debuted in December 2019 in a converted fast-food takeout going on Gallatin Pike in East Nashville. The father-and-son ownership team of chef Laurent Champonnois and Melvil Arnt earned glowing early reports for fare that includes French classics such a steak frites, beef Bourguignon, steak tartare, pate, escargot and creme brûlée. The bar features French wines, European beers, cocktails and cordials.
