10th Annual Heroes Breakfast
Help Operation Stand Down Tennessee thank all who have served.
As the state’s only recognized Veterans Service Center, Operation Stand Down Tennessee (OSDTN) engages, equips and empowers Veterans transitioning from successful military service to civilian life. OSDTN is the primary nonprofit resource for Veterans in Tennessee directly providing life changing services including transitional housing, employment readiness training and placement assistance, and the coordination of social services. We are the only Veteran Service Center in Tennessee recognized by the VA.
On Thursday, November 12, 2020, Operation Stand Down Tennessee (OSDTN) will once again host their Annual Heroes Breakfast to celebrate assisting Veterans in Tennessee and to honor the community’s Veterans recognizing those who selflessly put themselves in harm’s way for this country.
In 2019, OSDTN directly served 2,981 male and female Veterans through their Supportive Services, Clinical Services (Transitional Housing Program), Career Services, and 12th Avenue Thrift Store. Today, more than 128,000 Veterans live in Middle Tennessee and an average of 200 Veterans and their families move to the area every month. What it means to be a military Veteran in the U.S. is being shaped by a new generation of service members, one that, according to a new study from Pew Research Center, “is more likely than its predecessors to have been deployed, served in combat and had difficulty with the transition to civilian life.” And, as more troops come home, the demand for OSDTN’s Veterans services will continue to rise. The need has never been greater to serve Veterans where they are in their lives with the services they need.
Operation Stand Down Tennessee invites you to join them for the tenth annual Heroes Breakfast! With your help, they can engage, equip and empower more Veterans in Tennessee.
Presented by Delta Dental of Tennessee.
