27th annual Southern Festival of Books

A local treasure and a fixture of fall in the South; a star-studded literary lineup; a must-attend for millennials; a time-honored family tradition: the Southern Festival of Books will return to Nashville’s War Memorial Plaza and the Downtown Public Library Oct. 9-11. The festival promises more than 200 authors and sessions, 60 exhibitors and 25,000 book lovers in its 27th year. Readers and writers of all ages are given the opportunity to interact and to create a public community around a festival that promotes love of the written word and lifelong learning.
