A celebration of the best of fresh, local produce featuring a hearty menu created by Chef Jason LaIacona. Guests will savor a bounty of vegetables and herbs–squash, tomatoes, Swiss chard, leeks, basil and more-during this beautiful evening at Miel.
8th Annual Summer Harvest Dinner
Miel Restaurant presents its highly anticipated Summer Harvest Dinner honoring the restaurant’s local farm partners and the very best produce that grows in their fields. In its 8th year, the Harvest Dinner’s robust menu features a bounty of vegetables and fruits at their peak, along with herbs and vegetables from Miel’s own garden. Chef Jason LaIacona and proprietor Seema Prasad welcome guests to the event with a cocktail reception, 5:30 to 6 p.m. The Harvest Dinner starts with ‘fresh and chilled’ palate teasers, including Watermelon, Shiso, Citrus, along with Crudités, House-fermented Cream, Herbs, and Leeks Vinaigrette. A ‘warm and toasty’ course follows with a variety of Summer Squashes and Peperonata Roulade. Tomatoes take center stage with Miel’s Garden Tomato Gazpacho, followed by the main course. Chef LaIacona teases out incredible flavors and textures with a hearty plate featuring Gratin of Swiss Chard Stalks, Fried Corn, Sweet Pepper Purée, and more—the best of summer! Desserts include House-made Ricotta, Figs, Strawberry-Honey Shrub, and Basil; and Preserved Cantaloupe with Ground Cherry Coulis and Hazelnuts. To further enhance the special meal, Seema will present a selection of Portuguese still wines with each course.
