31st Annual Academy for Women of Achievement

Presented by YWCA Nashville and Middle Tennessee at Music City Center, Nashville TN

Jan 26 2023
31st Annual Academy for Women of Achievement

30th Anniversary Class of Academy for Women of Achievement & Past Honorees

Join YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee for the 31st annual Academy for Women of Achievement, presented by Amazon, as they induct seven inspiring women and one organization into the AWA.

Each year, YWCA pays tribute to women who are making significant contributions to our community. Academy for Women of Achievement (AWA) honorees are passionate about empowering women and they make Nashville a more inclusive, informed, just, healthy, and thriving place to live. The AWA was launched locally in 1992 by YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee. The AWA honors women who, through excellence and leadership in their chosen fields, serve as role models for other women. Our 2022 recipients joined 184 other women and 33 organizations who were honored previously with this distinction. The Academy’s independent judging committee, composed of community and business leaders, select honorees from an exceptional list of nominees.

The 31st AWA honorees are: Jean Ann Banker, Community Volunteer; Hannah Paramore Breen, Founder, Paramore Digital; Honorable Angelita Blackshear Dalton, Judge, Davidson County Criminal Court; Sherry Deutschmann, Founder and CEO, BrainTrust; Mary Ann McCready, Founding Owner and Business Manager, FBMM Entertainment Business Management; Sharon W. Reynolds, President and CEO, DevMar Products, LLC; Denine Torr, Vice President, Corporate Social Responsibility & Philanthropy, Dollar General; and corporate honoree HCA Healthcare/TriStar Health.
