AHA Pound Your Heart Out

Ready to POUND it out? On Thursday, April 20, Nashville Pound Pro Kathy Moore and the American Heart Association are hosting a free, POUND workout class for the Nashville community to try out one of the fastest-growing fitness phenomenons in the world – all during your lunch break!

“POUND Your Heart Out” will take place at 12:30pm at the Centennial Sportsplex and is open to the public. Featured in Shape, Self, Glamour and the Today Show, this full-body workout is a cardio jam session inspired by the energizing and sweat-dripping fun of playing the drums.

Pound Pro and Pound Tour Crew member Kathy Moore with supply participants will “Ripstix” (weighted drumsticks) and an amazing soundtrack to guide individuals of any fitness level through a lunchtime interval workout. If you have a yoga mat – bring it! If not, no worries. We will have several available to borrow.

Nashville Pound Pro is partnering with the American Heart Association to raise awareness for the AHA’s month-long Move More physical activity challenge. Throughout April, the AHA is inspiring all Nashvillians to get healthy by focusing on one new exercise each week. The American Heart Association recommends that adults participate in at least 150 minutes of physical activity a week. Sign up at
