ALIAS Fall Concert - Novel Noise

ALIAS presents new classical sounds in one of Nashville’s most beautiful sacred spaces.

For the first concert of the 17th season, ALIAS will appear at Christ Church Cathedral in Nashville, as a part of their Sacred Space for the City Arts Series.

ALIAS will explore the juxtaposition of modern sounds in one of our city’s most beautiful churches.

Repertoire
Chimers for violin, clarinet, toy piano, toy glockenspiel, and tuning forks, written by Phyllis Chen
Peace for accordion and string quartet, written by Aliaksandr Yasinski
Stripped for string quartet, written by Rene Orth
Mikromechanishe Momenté for piano, percussion, clarinet, cello, and a composer-created original keyboard machine, written by Chris Walters
Trio (Expanded) for electronics with English horn, bassoon, flute, and bass clarinet, written by Byron House
Beaming Music for marimba and organ, written by Nico Muhly
