Dallas-born siblings, Jennie Hayes Kurtz and David Bingaman grew up listening to blues, classic rock, and country music. They both fell in love with the art of songwriting in college and started singing and writing together while living in Fayetteville, Arkansas. They moved to Nashville and began performing original music and bluegrass covers as The Bingamans. In 2016, they graduated from an acoustic duo to a fully formed Americana rock band, and Brother and The Hayes was born. Brother and The Hayes combine thoughtful lyrics with infectious grooves. While attempting to take roots music in a new direction, they pay homage to artists like Lightnin’ Hopkins and Guy Clark. Their latest project, The Dead End EP, is available now.
