Bruck Cockburn at CMA Theater in Nashville TN
Bruce Cockburn takes the CMA Theater stage Saturday with special guest Dar Williams.
Canadian singer-songwriter and guitarist Bruce Cockburn is known for his stylistically diverse rock tunes marked by folk influences and socially conscious lyrics. In an interview with Rolling Stone, he described his signature sound as “a combination of country-blues fingerpicking and poorly absorbed jazz training.”
The now internationally renowned musician began his career playing in rock bands during the 1960s, opening for acts like Cream and Jimi Hendrix. But Cockburn is most well known for his highly successful solo career, which has spanned more than five decades.
Cockburn has made a name for himself among contemporaries including Jackson Browne and Graham Nash, the latter calling him “the consummate troubadour, a musical hero to many who are trying to make the world a better place.”
Don’t miss the chance to see Bruce Cockburn, joined by folk singer-songwriter Dar Williams, live and in person at the CMA Theater.
