Ancestree: An Evening of Spoken Word

“ANCESTREE” goes back into the depths of generational links. Poet Cameron Mitchell and others explore the idea of looking into the roots of family hoping to discover where traits of the present self forms are developed. These could be in the context of values, beliefs, leadership, positive and negative behaviors. Some of these traits could include: loyalty, honesty, selfishness, impatience, confidence, decisiveness, fearlessness, shyness, affection, deceitfulness, manipulation, determination, just to name a few.

No matter what these traits may be, links of the past go much beyond the physical surface of the family tree, and into the heart of the roots.
