Join us one night a month as our Artist-In-Residence host some of the biggest names in entertainment and the arts. Think of it as “Ted Talk” meets “Inside the Actors Studio.” Each artist will share their heartfelt stories and incredible journeys as well as talk about the state of their industry during a Q&A with one of our Artist-in-Residence. It is a night that is sure to inspire you!
Lipscomb’s College of Entertain and the Arts presents Wayne Kirkpatrick, co-creator of Broadway hit Something Rotten and Grammy Award winning songwriter, for the Artist-in-Residence Speaker Series in December. The Artist-in-Residence Speaker Series highlights each artist’s impact on their industry as well as the Lipscomb community during a Q&A session.
Wayne Kirkpatrick’s body of work can be seen on the Broadway stage or heard through hit Christian, Country and Pop artists. Kirkpatrick has earned both Grammy and Dove awards for his work with artists such as Martina McBride, Faith Hill, Eric Clapton and Michael W. Smith, just to name a few. He tops off his career as a co-creator of the Broadway hit, Something Rotten, a show he created with his brother, Karey Kirkpatrick.
