Artober Learning Labs Episode 6: Tennessee State Museum

War of Roses Storytime and Craft

[Age Groups: Pre-K & Elementary School]

Join Ms. Morgan, an educator at the Tennessee State Museum, to learn more about the War of the Roses and for a tour of the museum’s exhibition, Ratified! Tennessee Women and the Right to Vote. She will read a story called: Around America to Win the Vote: Two Suffragists, a Kitten and 10,000 Miles. And, Ms. Morgan will teach you how to make paper roses and why they were historically important 100 years ago.

The mission of the Tennessee State Museum is to procure, preserve, exhibit, and interpret objects which relate to the social, political, economic, and cultural history of Tennessee and Tennesseans, and to provide exhibitions and programs for the educational and cultural enrichment of the citizens of the state.
