A beloved Broadway gem, THE WIZ infuses L. Frank Baum’s The Wonderful Wizard of Oz with a dazzling mix of rock, gospel, and soul music. This timeless tale of Dorothy’s adventures through the Land of Oz is a fun, family-friendly, modern musical and one of the most popular shows of all time. Winner of 7 TONY Awards including Best Musical. Adapted into a film version featuring Michael Jackson and Diana Ross.

Circle Players’ production will feature a large cast of all ethnicities. Roles for adults, youth and some children in ensemble (ages 6-12). All roles available. Entire ensemble sings and dances. Prepare 16-32 measures of both an upbeat and melodic Broadway style or R&B song. No à cappella. Wear or bring comfortable shoes and clothing for dance audition. No monologues. Possible cold readings from the script. Resumes suggested. Headshots or a recent photo requested.
