Barks for Parks

at Bowie Nature Park, Fairview TN

May 09 2015
Barks for Parks

The City of Fairview Parks Department is currently planning this year’s Barks for Parks. Barks for Parks is a free event that will be held on Saturday, May 9th at Bowie Nature Park. This event has been going on for about 10 years, but really has started to grow in the last 1 or 2 years. This year will include, pet-related vendors, a one mile guided walk with your dog, dog contests, K-9 demonstration, mini-workshops, door prize giveaways and more!

The goal for Barks for Parks is to get people out in the Park for a fun day with their pet, provide information about local pet business’s and services in the area, and help raise money for some nonprofit rescue groups by asking for a $5 donation/dog for those that do the one mile walk and a registration fee for those that are participating in the Dog Contests. All the money collected from these will go to our Dog Rescue group partners: Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary and Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue!
