This exhibit promises a visual treat for gallery guests. Bee Aware, An Exhibit About Bees will be on display August 14-September 23, 2020. Gallery visitors are required to wear masks during the Covid-19 phases.
The exhibit opens with an artist reception on Friday, August 14 from 5pm to 7:30pm. Several celebrated local artists will display a beautiful variety of artwork that celebrates both the natural beauty and importance of BEES in the environment.
Centennial Park is now home to several beehives maintained by the Nashville Area Beekeeper Association (NABA). NABA will provide informational pamphlets for people interested in learning more about bees. A portion of gallery sales will be donated to support the efforts of NABA by Creative Parks Nashville (CPN), a 501(c)(3) organization supporting Metro Parks Visual Arts, Music, Theater and Special Events Divisions.
The Bee Aware exhibit showcases artwork by Kim Barrick (painting), Becca Floyd (ceramics), Elizabeth Foster (painting), Randy Purcell (ink transfers on beeswax), Keri Ann Lawrence (sculpture), Trevor Mikula (painting) and Charlie Hunt (stone sculpture).
