Black History Month Gala Honoring Black Leaders In Honor of Black History Month

Pass the Beauty is proud to invite you to the Black History Month Black Tie Gala Fundraiser. This honorarium event is the relaunch of their nonprofit organization, Pass the Beauty Foundation. Their goal is to bring awareness to the Social Violence and Homeless Program. Their mission is to help end social violence and homelessness. Their vision is to create healthy community-wide relationships and resolutions by partnering with community partners to coordinate and deliver services, programs, and housing resources to families experiencing homelessness due to violence and financial hardship. With the 2023 Passion for Justice Award, The Black History Month Black Tie Gala will honor The Jefferson Street Sound Museum, Black Leaders, and Health Care Professionals in Middle Tennessee. The 2023 theme is Black Health and Wellness.

The fundraiser is hosted by Donzaleigh Powell, will kick off with a live broadcast and a panel discussion moderated by Let’s Talk host and co-host Ernie Allen and YOLO Bee. The Black Health and Wellness panelists will feature Nashville’s Black community leaders, Judge Allegra Walker, Judge Robin Kimbrough-Hayes, owners of Venue 109 – Keith and Nicole Mason, Ellery & Sharon K. Edwards, I’m-Invisible bullying and suicide nonprofit, community organizer/advocate Timothy Hughes, Director of Community Engagement in the Health Equity and Stakeholder Engagement Department at the national nonprofit Health Leads USA, Jacquelyn S. Dalton, The Village at the Mayor’s Office, Community Impact Manager Breanna Tilman, and published author/founder of Pass the Beauty – Cintoria Franklin.
