Build Your Own Hiking Stick

Presented by Bledsoe Creek State Park at Bledsoe Creek State Park, Gallatin TN

Nov 04 2021
Build Your Own Hiking Stick

Select a hiking stick from among dead and downed trees during a ranger guided hike.

Visitors will have the opportunity to select a stick among the park’s downed trees on less than a 2 mile route of trail. Many cedar trees are on this route with a few hardwoods to pick from. Visitors can either cut their limb with a bow saw or have a ranger do it for them. This event will end at the visitor center where hiking sticks can be customized with files, rasps, and cordage.
