Cable Executive Leadership Academy Fall Sessions
Cable developed the Executive Leadership Academy, to provide courses on how to successfully lead in a multicultural society and effectively build a strategy.
As part of Cable’s commitment to supporting leadership development and growth opportunities for women throughout each career stage, Lipscomb University and Cable developed the Executive Leadership Academy. The Academy offers two courses in the spring and two courses in the fall. If both spring and fall sessions are completed, participants are awarded a Foundations of 21st Century Leadership certificate and become eligible for the Advanced Leadership Program.
CABLE 3001-21st Century Leadership in a Multicultural World: Managing and Leading Across Generations, Cultures and Sectors in Communities and Organizations This course will examine how leading in a multicultural society is not only a given in today’s world; it is an opportunity to build on research showing diverse teams produce better solutions. The key for the successful leader is an intentional approach: respecting, recognizing and building on the different perspectives and talents of every person in your organization and realizing the power of generations, races, genders and ethnicities working together professionally and in the community.
CABLE 4001-From Vision to Results: Strategic Planning and Executing Through Collaborative Leadership In this course, you will build or refine a strategy to bring your idea for change to reality. You will study and practice new models of organizational and social change based on collaboration, including collaborative leadership, shared value and collective impact. You will apply emerging and established theories of change management and best practices in behavioral, organizational and community change to bring your vision for the future to life.
