Art show and sale celebrating the legacy and community of Shelby Park & Bottoms, Nashville’s largest protected urban greenspace and wetlands natural area.
Friends of Shelby Park & Bottoms and The Chestnut Group are proud to announce the inaugural art show & sale aptly named, “The Colors of Shelby.”
Featuring artwork by The Chestnut Group, a local, non-profit society of plein air artists who paint to protect ecosystems and historic landscapes in Middle Tennessee. More than 200 members meet regularly for paint-outs and events to support land conservancy.
The show is FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Participating local Chestnut artists donate almost half of the funds generated from art sales to support Friends of Shelby’s efforts to preserve and enhance Shelby Park and Bottoms’ native ecosystems, historic features, and recreational resources.
