David’s father, an oil engineer, regularly brought home American Country music tapes from his frequent trips to Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi and Dubai — music by artists such as Kenny Rogers, Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson. These influences helped shape Dave’s musical direction into his current modern Country sound.
