DAWNLAND Film Screening
DAWNLAND is a film by Adam Mazo and Ben Pender-Cudlip that explores intimate, sacred moments of truth-telling and healing with untold narratives of Indigenous children who were removed from their homes and subjected to the cultural genocide of colonialism and government-sanctioned erasure of cultural identity. This very necessary film foregrounds the immense challenges that communities faces as they work toward truth, reconciliation, and the survival of all Indigenous peoples. A panel of Indigenous elders will be present for a post-film dialogue.
DAWNLAND is made possible with funding support from HCA/TriStar Health, Tennessee Arts Commission, Metro Arts, and National Endowment for the Arts.
