Born Thomas Wesley Pentz in Mississippi and raised in Florida, Diplo has always been inspired by his southern roots throughout his rise to fame as one of music’s most in demand producers and DJs. He had long been incubating ideas for his country project prior to debuting his first country album, the Gold-certified Diplo Presents Thomas Wesley Chapter 1: Snake Oil, in 2020, featuring the five times Platinum-certified single “Heartless” with Morgan Wallen, Gold-certified tracks “Dance With Me” with Thomas Rhett and Young Thug and “Lonely” with Jonas Brothers and collaborations with a host of other country music stars. Diplo first brought Thomas Wesley to a live audience at Stagecoach in 2019, where he welcomed Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus for he live debut of “Old Town Road,” and again in 2022, closing out the Palomino stage. He plans to return this year for his annual “Late Night in Palomino” and for the first time, will be curating his own stage, Diplo’s HonkyTonk, throughout the entire weekend.

The three-time Grammy winner and thirteen-time nominee’s new track as Thomas Wesley, “Wasted,” featuring Kodak Black and Koe Wetzel, is out now and marks his official return to his acclaimed country music persona.  Listen HERE.
