Family Science Labs | Oct. | What is Autumn?

The ASC Family Science Labs offer opportunities for parents and homeschool teachers to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics in engaging, hands-on ways with their children and/or students. Each of the levels present new challenges with age-appropriate educational materials and activities to spark excitement in all participants.

What is Autumn?
The air is crisp, the leaves are changing, and it’s a perfect time to explore the science behind what’s actually happening here each fall.

Investigators (Ages 6–9) | Autumn Unleashed at 11am October 4 & 7

What makes autumn? Is it the colors? The temperature? Let’s investigate how seasons happen and why FALL is so awesome!

Explorers (Ages 3–5)  | Crisp, Colorful & Crackling at 11am October 18 & 21

As the Leaves begin to change color and the air gets a little cooler, it’s time for a special fall-themed Little Lab where we will explore the science that makes this season to incredible!

Researchers (Ages 10–13) | Autumnal Science at 2pm October 25 & 28

How do robots work? What makes them different than and similar to people? Let’s use our knowledge about how stuff works to solve these questions, and to program a robot for our own tasks!                         

Family Science Lab tickets must be purchased in conjunction with membership or general admission tickets. It is only necessary to purchase a lab ticket for any participating child; accompanying parent does not need to purchase a separate ticket.
