Gather at the Table: Community Dinner & Vespers Service

Scarritt Bennett Center cordially invites you to “Gather at the Table!”

Share a delectable dinner and enjoy fellowship and conversation in the historic Susie Gray Dining Hall at 5pm, followed by their weekly Vespers and All That Jazz worship service in Wightman Chapel from 6:30pm-7:15pm.

Vespers & All That Jazz is a unique worship experience that uses words and music from a variety of sources to encounter the Sacred. Scarritt Bennett Center understands jazz to be a process of making music; music which shapes the service and helps you experience the interruptive Spirit of God in yourself and others. The style is experiential. Open minds, open hearts, and open ears are essential. Scarritt Bennett Center hopes for justice, compassion, peace, and wonder in response.

Per CDC guidelines, Scarritt Bennett Center requires all who visit their campus to wear a mask while indoors, regardless of vaccination status. In-person worshipers welcome in Wightman Chapel. Vespers & All That Jazz services are livestreamed and available weekly on their YouTube channel.
