A fundraiser to support the emerging artists at Watkins College of Art.
Watkins presents the third edition of Glimpse, the newest must-attend event on Nashville’s social calendar, which introduces art lovers and the art-curious to up-and-coming talents whose work they would be wise to know and collect now. Glimpse artists are chosen prior to the event and their identities and curated works are unveiled and for sale during the one-night-only affair. Past Glimpse artists have shown nationally and regionally, as well as received awards within the disciplinary fields Watkins represents (film, fine art, graphic design, illustration, interior design, and photography).
This year, Glimpse will adopt the theme of Andy Warhol, focusing on his Factory aesthetic and pop exuberance. In addition to high-end, creative small plates, there will be multiple bar stations, interactive installations and funky art games, and a silent auction, not to mention the sale of work by the selected Glimpse artists.
The dress for Glimpse is chic, hip, edgy, whatever you dare (if you want to wear a tie, we don’t mind!).
The college thanks its generous sponsors, as well as its host committee: Glimpse Chairs Brooke Hawkins and Kristin Laine, as well as Collins Smith and Matt Reasor, Alison Burlage, Memree and Rich Roberts, Laura and Lance Carney, Pat and Marc Hollander, Ann Ripley, Lisa Toporek, Brooke and Will Hawkins, and Kristin and Alex Laine.
