Guest Artists | Isabelle Faust and Alexander Melnikov

German violinist Isabelle Faust won her first major competition, the 1987 Leopold Mozart Competition, when she was just 15 years old. Since then, she has pursued a successful and highly acclaimed solo career, including a Grammy nomination for her recording of Beethoven’s complete violin and piano sonatas with Russian pianist Alexander Melnikov. This week, Faust and Melnikov will perform all of those Beethoven sonatas in three consecutive evenings in Blair’s intimate Steve & Judy Turner Recital Hall. This is a rare opportunity to hear these pieces performed by unparalleled interpreters. The Blair School is honored to welcome back these engaging artists.
