Guided History Trail Hike

Hike through Tennessee History starting in 1500 and ending at the Cumberland Settlement in 1800.

Join Bledsoe Creek State Park as they hike through Tennessee History starting in 1500 and ending at the Cumberland Settlement in 1800. As they hike along the trail, they will discuss what brought European Settlers to Tennessee and how that affected the Native Americans who hunted in this area; as well as the conflicts that arose between Settlers and Native Americans during the late 1700s. Other topics that will be discussed include local legends like Thomas Spencer and the attack on Zeigler’s Station in 1792.

Please wear comfortable shoes and follow social distancing guidelines. Hikers can meet park staff at the boat ramp at the end of Main Park Road. Space is limited to 15 hikers. Guests must at minimum have access to a mask to participate in this program.
