Historic Mansker's Station Home School Program - April

The Historic Mansker’s Station Home School Program offers educational classes for students ages 8-14 on designated Wednesdays throughout the year.
April 3 – Heritage Cooking: Camp Cooking – Enjoy cooking your very own meal in the compound of Mansker’s Fort and be introduced to ingredients the settlers may have used while creating a dish and baking with foil. Bring an apron!
April 17 – Dye & Stamp Class – Come and learn about dying wool using the cochineal bug and try 18th century fabric stamping on a t-shirt. Wear old clothes and bring an apron.
April 24 – The Herb Garden – Herbs are plants that have been used for thousands of years. Learn the difference between an herb, weed, spice, while sampling some tea. Make an herbal craft and learn what herbs are grown at Mansker’s Station.
