Honor Flight July 25, 2015
Screaming Eagle Honor Flight announces its next flight of the year July 25, 2015. On board this flight will be 25 World War II, Korean War, and for the first time Vietnam War Veterans who thanks to the patriotic and generous donations of individuals and organizations will get to see the monuments built in their honor in Washington DC at no charge to them. Also serving as Guardians (Veterans escorts will be the Ft Campbell NCO and Soldier of the year. This is a trip most Veterans would have never made had it not been for Honor Flight. The Veterans, Guardians, and Honor Flight Staff will arrive at Nashville airport at 5:30am and will be available for interviews for 15 to 20 minutes prior to having to go through security. The departing flight Southwest flight #4284 departs for DC at 7:35am. The Veterans and Guardians will return on Southwest flight #1794 at 7:10pm that evening for those wanting to welcome them back! While in Washington DC the Veterans will visit the World War II Memorial, The Korean War Memorial, The Vietnam War Memorial, The Air Force Memorial, The Marine Memorial, and also go to Arlington National Cemetery to watch the changing of the Guards at the Tomb of the Unknowns. Anyone wishing to see the Veterans that depart from Clarksville via bus the bus departs Sam’s club parking lot at 4:30am and should arrive back around 8:30pm. Future Flights are tentatively scheduled for September 27, 2015.
