The John C. Hutcheson Gallery presents an exhibit by ceramics artist Tammie Rubin. Rubin will host a talk in Shamblin Theatre on March 30 and her work will be exhibited until April 30.
Rubin has a MFA in ceramics from the University of Washington and a BFA in ceramics and art history from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Her work has appeared in the journals Ceramics: Art & Perception, Ceramics Monthly, and newspapers such as The Seattle Times, The News-Gazette and The Daily Times. She has also shown her work in solo and group exhibitions nationally, including the Sarah M. Hurt Gallery at the Indianapolis Art Center and the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts. Rubin is an assistant professor of ceramics and foundations at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
