Intro to 3-D Printing Workshop
Hands-on digital design workshop taught by artist/maker Zach Duensing.
Buchanan Arts is proud to present a workshop that will really leave you with something to remember!
Zach Duensing (Fort Houston Co-Founder, Nashville Public Library Teen Maker-Space Director, and MTSU Art Grad) will lead a group of students through the process of designing a digital-sculptural 3-D model using simple, straight-forward, and very user friendly web-based software. Zach is adept at leading students through the design process, even when the students insist they don’t have computer skills.
Beginners are very welcome!
Zach will give a brief overview presentation of 3D Printing and his personal creative practice to get things started. Once complete, students can schedule times to pick-up their completed pieces roughly one week after the class meeting time. If you have a WiFi-capable laptop, please bring to use as your workstation. If you do not have access to a laptop, some will be available for the event.
Parking alongside the alley adjacent to Elephant Gallery is available, with designated parking for Buchanan Arts further down the alley on the left (in front of our building).
***Please do not park on the right side of the alley, this is designated for residential neighbors.***
Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
In the fall of 2021, Buchanan Arts requires full vaccination of all faculty and staff. While students are not required to show proof of vaccination, unvaccinated students are required to wear a mask and all students are recommended to wear a mask when working indoors. Single use masks and hand sanitizer will be provided to students throughout the semester. In the spring of 2022, we will require faculty, staff and students to provide proof of vaccination for full semester courses and summer workshops.
