Introduction to Ceramics: Hand-building and Sculpting

Get your hands dirty as you dive into the world of clay with ceramicist Heather Johnson! Inspired by the organic forms found throughout “Chihuly at Cheekwood“, this workshop will focus on hand-building methods such as the pinch and coil, as well as basic sculpting techniques.

All supplies and materials will be provided to create up to two small vessels or sculptures. Work will be glazed by the instructor and ready for pick up 1 month after class.

Advanced registration is required, and includes daytime admission to mansion and gardens. Capacity is limited to 15 participants.
