Japanese Fish Kites with Turnip Green Creative Reuse

Every year on May 5, Japanese families raise carp-shaped koinobori flags (fish kites) in celebration of Children’s Day: a day to celebrate the healthy growth and happiness of children. Each child’s kite represents their personality. We’ll make our own fish kites with repurposed materials and share how special we are. For ages 3-12, but all are welcome.
